The first brand book based on modular nets was created for AEG. A fantastic domestic example is the CPN brand book. Grids, as they can be called "modular grids", have been successfully adopted in digital technology with the development of technology. They play an important role in the design of websites, applications and other areas requiring continuity and repeatable patterns.
Even more so if more than one designer works on them. However, they can be used not only for large and complex projects, but also for less demanding ones. Modular nets – how is it actually done? I will try to present it to you C Level Contact List using the example of a poster promoting an automotive event. We must include the following elements: title, event description, date, three photos and sponsors' logos. It is very important that before drawing the mesh, you have all the information.
About the input at your disposal, this will allow you to adapt it to your real needs. Level 1 Knowing what my design had to include, I chose a 6×12 grid. The key moment is planning the layout of the elements. Here I am guided primarily by the hierarchy of information. I also took care of the rules of composition . It is worth using only shapes at the first stage so that the content does not disturb our perception of the whole. Stage 2 Fill the shapes with content and refine the layout.
